The USPRA transport ship Engulfer Max is too large to land on planets' surfaces. To get the bikes and their riders, along with support personnel and supplies, cable-supported Drop-Pods are employed. These pods are unpowered except for small attitude-adjusting thrusters used to keep the pods' descent paths straight.

Multiple strand monomolecular cables lower the pods to a planet's surface, and are detached and reeled back in to the ship while the pods are on the surface. At the appropriate time, the cables are lowered once more, attached to the pods, and the pods are hauled back up to the ship. Specially modified hovercam platforms are used to guide the cables to the pods.
