PETER LAIRD'S
Donatello fighting robot, pencils

Donatello’s fighting another robot (android? cyborg?) in this pencil drawing I did for a proposed (but never finished) TMNT portfolio, sometime in the early 1990's, I think. One of these days I’ll get around to inking it!

WOO HOO! #9

Today I had the pleasure of reviewing the complete pencils by LeSean Thomas for the first issue of the Dreamwave TMNT comic book. Very nice, very tight, very clean, lots of directed energy. I think this book is going to look good.

I was going to do a "Woo Hoo!" this past week after I watched my advance copy of the finished version of the second part of "The Shredder Strikes!" episode of the animated series, but didn't get to it... and now everybody's seen it anyway, so I'll just say that it was just about the coolest TMNT animated episode ever.

But it only makes me even MORE excited about the rest of the season, and the beginning of NEXT season!

I also saw the unfinished (voices only) versions of "The Unconvincing Turtle Titan", where Mike decides to try his hand at being a costumed "superhero", and the first episode of the three-part "Underground" arc (which I think will surprise a lot of people who THINK they know what it's going to be about). Both are very cool in their own ways, but I really thought "The Unconvincing Turtle Titan" was a lot of fun, and a great episode for Mikey fans.

And on a non-TMNT related note...

I still think riding a motorcycle is the most fun you can have on two wheels, but this gizmo -- the Segway Human Transporter -- comes pretty darn close!
